This weekend, Highland Park will play host to Maverick Pro Wrestling. The professional wrestling event organizers will make their debut at the American Legion Post 206. The upstart company is debuting a unique blend of local talent and nationally renowned superstars.

Saturday's show will feature a double main event with "Killer" Kevin Kross making his Maverick Pro debut against one of the hottest wrestlers on the independent scene, "The Best Ever" Sammy Guevara. This match, featuring the Sin City powerhouse and the aerial artist from Texas, would be enough to headline any show. The event will also feature champion Ricky Mandel putting his title on the line against Jason Cade, a star on the East Coast who recently turned heads in CZW"s annual "Best of the Best" tournament. The show will also boast some international flair with Japanese import Kikutaro, the comedic protagonist of Colt Cabana's "Wrestling Road Diaries Three." Rounding out the card will be CZW's Brittany Blake, a showcase match between Southern California favorites Dicky Mayer and Tito Escondido, and a high-flying 'fatal four-way' match between Airon Skye, Suede Thompson, Jakob Austin Young, and Amazing Jr.

Maverick Pro owner Stephen Wu is excited to be coming to Highland Park, "We can't wait to show the fans what we've got. We see this show as our way to make our mark in Highland Park. I encourage anyone who has never been to a wrestling show to give it a shot; it's unlike any other form of entertainment and is definitely more fun than a typical night out in LA waiting on line to get into a club or at a bar to get a drink".

Promoter Brian Farmer adds, "There really is something for everyone. We are an all-ages show so we encourage families to come check us out. We offer a much more affordable alternative to the WWE, and here wrestling fans of all ages can interact directly with the wrestlers".

Saturdays show will be held at the American Legion Post #206 at 227 N Avenue 55. Doors open at 6pm and the show kicks off at 7. Tickets are $10 for kids and $20 for adults and can be purchased in advance at https://www.paypal.me/moviecitywrestling or at the door.
